The AZ Men’s Health & Wellness Expo was organized in 2012 to provide a comprehensive educational experience to educate men about prostate cancer and to promote awareness of Men’s Health issues as a community priority. Since 2012, the event has grown to encompass a variety of topics designed to engage male participants as active stakeholders in achieving and maintaining their optimal health.
Project Overview
- Produced by the Sphinx Educational Fund (SEF) a 501(c)3 & Delta Tau Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. in collaboration with Mayo Clinic.
- Launched in 2012 with the aim of increasing prostate cancer awareness and promoting Men’s Health as a community priority.
- Program structure formalized in 2014 through collaboration with Mayo Clinic

- Connect participants to community resources for health promotion virtually & physically
- Create motivational relationships African American males supporting healthy lifestyles
