Tickets, Sponsorships On Sale Now for Our 2023 Sphinx Educational Fund, Inc. Scholarship Brunch on Nov. 4!
We invite you to join us as we celebrate the life and legacy of the Honorable Thurgood Marshall on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023 at 9 AM at the Desert Willow Conference Center, 4340 E. Cotton Center Blvd., Suite 100, Phoenix, Arizona 85040.
Our keynote speaker, Milton C. Davis, Esq., will deliver a powerful message that addresses the theme and gives students and professionals the encouragement they need to make an impact on the world today. Davis gained international acclaim when as the Assistant Attorney General for Alabama he partnered with Donald Watkins to research and advocate for a full pardon of Clarence Norris, the last known surviving Scottsboro Boy on the basis of innocence. In addition, Davis was the 29th General President of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
We will also continue our tradition of presenting the Thurgood Marshall Award of Merit to Arizonans who have demonstrated outstanding commitments to making Phoenix, the State of Arizona, and the world better.
Rev. Dr. Benjamin N. Thomas, Sr., Senior Pastor of Tanner Chapel A.M.E. Church and Roy Tatem, community leader, activist, entrepreneur, and political strategist, have dedicated their lives to the principles of justice, equality and excellence that remain fundamental tenets of Justice Marshall’s legacy.
